The city of Miami becomes both the setting and a central character in Eva y Adán en Miami, a co-production between the U.S., Spain, and Latin America that brings together an international cast led by Elizabeth Gutiérrez, Julián Gil, Bárbara Cuesta, and Carlos Enrique Almirante.
The film will have its world premiere at the Miami Film Festival on Saturday, April 11 at 8:30pm at the historic Olympia Theater in Downtown Miami.
In addition, the production has been acquired by ViX as part of its ViX Originals catalog, further expanding the project’s international reach to audiences in the U.S. and Latin America.
Eva y Adán en Miami follows the story of Eva (Elizabeth Gutiérrez), an independent young Latina who works as an Uber driver in Miami, and Adán (Julián Gil), a traveler stranded in the city after a storm cancels his flight, forcing him to rethink his life and romantic relationship. A chance encounter between them leads to a journey across Miami during a day filled with moments that will transform how they see love and life. Meanwhile, Julieta (Bárbara Cuesta) and Romeo (Carlos Enrique Almirante)—the respective ex-partners of Eva and Adán—embark on an unexpected and chaotic pursuit across the city that will also change their lives.
Blending music, Latin culture, humor, and Miami’s iconic landscapes, the film explores how a single day can change the course of a life forever.
The rest of the cast includes comedians and actors Los Pichy Boys (Alejandro González & Maikel Rodríguez), along with Adrián Mas, Vivian Ruiz, Anthony Lo Russo, Gilberto Reyes, and Alejandro Gil.
The film is directed by Lilo Vilaplana, recognized for his work in international film and television and for his ability to tell human stories with cultural identity and global appeal.
