Fernanda Merodio appointed senior director of Affiliates Sales & Marketing at Imagina US

Just over a month ago, Fernanda Merodio, formerly of Olympusat, joined Imagina US as senior director of Affiliates Sales & Marketing.Merodio, is based out of Mexico and will travel frequently to the Imagina US headquarters in Miami. She said to PRODU she would be responsible for sales and marketing for the channels in the portfolio of Imagina US: Centroamérica TV, TV Dominicana, Pasiones, TeleAmazonas, and TVE.The main goal is to grow the distribution of cable. Most of the channels are already on satellite and, wherever we already have a presence, we want to grow our subscriber base through marketing initiatives such as the one we are developing with Dominican baseball. For the first time, viewers in the U.S. will be able to watch the Dominican Baseball League through TV Domincana, as well as World Cup qualifying matches of Central American teams through Centroamérica TV,” said Merodio.Additionally, Imagina US acquired the rights to Serie del Caribe, which gives continuity to Dominican baseball since the Dominican champion goes on to compete against other Caribbean countries at the international event.
