Five Alterna´TV channels join the Verizon FiOS TV grid

Alterna´TV signed an important distribution agreement for the U.S. with Verizon FiOS TV.“The five channels that will kick off in a month are Once, Canal 22, Ecuavisa, Telemicro, and AyM Sports. With this launch, we’re not only increasing the distribution of Alterna´TV signals, but we’re also joining a new distributor, a telecomm. We already are with AT&T, and now with Verizon,” said to PRODU Maricela Hernández, head of Affiliate Sales of Alterna´TV.Hernández also indicated cable distribution is still growing. “We are launching more systems in Texas, with two additional channels, and the distribution in Central Florida and the Tampa Bay area through Bright House Networks. This year has been surprisingly productive,” she said.Additionally, Hernández mentioned that during Canitec they signed several agreements for the sports channel Planet X. “We are launching on Megacable, on Cablevisión Monterrey, and we’re penetrating Central America through PCTV affiliates,” she added.
