Flixxo continues creating disruptive projects and innovative financing options for productions. At Conecta Fiction the company introduced Somos (6×30´), a series based on short plays, which has been successful in the micro-theater circuit.
The creators are six women with little experience in audiovisuals, but who enroll renowned actors and actresses such as Vico D’Alessandro, Cande Beltrán, Cande Molfese, Héctor Díaz, or Rafa Ferro.

“It is a project generated collectively by the creators of the different episodes, the actors, and the technicians. Today they are looking for a platform to host this content, not only by acquiring the series but also that understands the concept of this dynamic production that recorded six episodes in three months and is creating a community,” said Adrián Garelik, CEO and founder of Flixxo. In Conecta Fiction, Somos aroused the interest of the platforms.

Flixxo is advancing in the production of La Frecuencia Kirlian, an animated horror film based on a series that had a season on Netflix and a second season on Flixxo. The film will be ready for next year and has a particular financing model: the sale of digital collectibles that represent quotas or shares of the film.

To do so they are already regulated by the National Monetization and Securities Commission (CNMV) of Spain which protects the investor. “Fans can acquire a digital collectible of the film created by the creatives (in this case the illustrators) that represents the right to receive economic profits when the film does,” said Garelik.

150 collectibles have already been put up for sale at a value of €1,000. Flixxo is also looking for producers willing to buy packs of 20 or 30 collectibles.

La Frecuencia Kirlian is the first project of Blue Beats, a platform that Flixxo is launching to host audiovisual content and where anyone can buy digital collectibles that are protected by the Spanish regulator. “It is a pilot experience that, if it goes well, can help change the way we finance audiovisuals,” pointed out Garelik.
