Fred Medina quits BBC Worldwide in July and Fiona Eastwood, director of Brands and Global Markets takes his place during the transition

Fred Medina, current EVP and managing director, BBC Worldwide Latin America & US Hispanic, will leave the company as of July 1st. The recruitment process for EVP Latin America has already begun.”Fred established and led the team that has turned around our business in Latin America. He has helped grow the BBC brand in the region and laid solid foundations for the future. He now feels the time is right to take on his next challenge and he leaves with my personal thanks for his contribution,” expressed Paul Dempsey, president of Global Markets, BBC Worldwide.Fiona Eastwood, director of Global Markets Brands at BBC Worldwide, will take on Medina’s responsibilities starting in May, together with her own until the company announces a successor. Eastwood will split her time between the offices in London and Miami. Medina, who joined BBC Worldwide in 2011 as executive VP for Latin America, has more than 20 years of experience in managerial positions in the media, technology and marketing industry, including companies like Ole Communications. The Coca-Cola company, Univision Television Partnership Group, Viacom, and HBO.
