HITN: Edye is a singular SVOD service

As opposed to other SVOD services, the HITN´s Edye platform presents content that is chosen manually and not through algorithms.
“Edye is a platform with great interest in parents to be involved in the content their children consume. We are working very hard together with educational psychologists and educators in the region to offer a comprehensive service, for parents to understand what topics each one of the series covers, what the educational benefits are. We separate the content in six different areas that include psychomotor, educational, mathematics, and language,” explains Maximiliano Vaccaro, VP Digital Services Digitales at HITN.
Vaccaro adds that the service has two distribution mechanisms: like an SVOD in the operator´s offer, as is the case of Claro video Mexico which already launched it in Mexico, and the other option, as an app. “It is a very specific service for preschool children, very easy to integrate in our cable operators, whether through content delivery or authentication via the app,” he adds.
He mentioned that they chose Applicaster as the technology partner for the platforms because they allow them to launch it rapidly and easily.
