IVC: We want to give Venezuelans abroad contents that allow them to know the events in the country

Ole Communications launches, in the context of Tepal, IVC, a panregional signal aimed at Venezuelans who live abroad, focused exclusively on the broadcast of games from the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (according to its initials in Spanish) and the Professional Basketball League; entertainment; concerts; current events; news and telenovelas. It has 75% original production original and 25% acquired programming.

The channel was launched in 2015, first in Venezuela and later in the Hispanic market in the US. Currently it has presence in the Hispanic package on DIRECTV.

“The goal is to give Venezuelans who live abroad, content that allows them to remain connected with the daily events in the country” said Tony Salanova, EVP and general manager.

He highlighted that they have live programs hosted by renowned journalists such as Eduardo Rodríguez Giolitti, César Miguel Rondón and Sergio Novelli.

Regarding shows and concerts, they broadcast the most varied and important things in Venezuelan music and theater. Regarding telenovelas, they have an agreement with RCTV that gives them access to all their film library and current superproductions.

As for distribution of the channel in the region, Salanova highlighted that the idea of entering markets such as Panama, Colombia, Dominican Republic, that are the countries where there are more Venezuelan´s, without forgetting markets like Ecuador, Peru and Chile.

The idea is to approach countries gradually so that operators receive marketing, programming, content support to carry out activities with subscribers for it to be an effective and efficient partnership for everyone.
