La historia de los Mundiales

The documentary series La Historia de Los Mundiales (57×50’), which includes all the soccer World Cups from 1930 to 2018, “is more complete than ever and we are offering a special on Qatar 2022 as a ‘ñapa’ (additional bonus) to all buyers for delivery in January 2023,” said Jorge Rossi, president, and CEO of J.R. Videos International Inc., producer of the series.

Rossi points out that buyers of La Historia de Los Mundiales (The History of the World Cups) can acquire from 20 episodes – where they can select the ones they want – up to all of the 57 available. The series will be distributed in Latin America and the US by Rafael Fusaro from APA International, and for the rest of the territories, J.R. Videos International Inc. is handling the rights directly.

“It is something exciting. Although it is not yet known who will win, it will be one of the most exciting World Cups and be full of surprises. Qatar has been preparing for many years. It will be one of the most fought World Cups,” emphasized Rossi who has vast experience in the area and who, together with Emilio Azcárraga of Televisa, did the marketing for the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.

Each episode includes what was the most relevant of each World Cup: the beginning and the end of each tournament, the most impressive goals, all the outstanding players from Di Stefano to Pelé, Maradona, Messi, Neymar Jr., and Mbappé and all the videos in HD.

“It is the only series that includes all the soccer World Cups and in any language. I started producing it in 2000, it’s been 22 years now. I am completely alone, there is no other history of the World Cups like this,” he said.

Eduardo Solano Granados, who covered five World Cups for Univisión’s República Deportiva, is the co-producer, editor, and narrator of all the episodes.

The series is marketed with separate rights for each window: open TV, pay TV, and streaming platforms. The most recent sales agreements took place with Canela.TV, Amazon, and YouTube.
