La Productora announced 17 4K productions

Catalina Porto, executive manager of La Productora of Caracol Televisión, announced that by 2020 they will have 17 4K productions. “We are the only provider in Colombia that has the complete 4K flow, including postproduction, scoring, colorization.”

During MIP Cancun, La Productora will be part of the Country focus Colombia panel. “We are currently experiencing a very important moment in the industry, with the theme of the orange economy tax incentives for TV have expanded. We have been preparing and Caracol has played a fundamental role, with investment in infrastructure, training and education. We have 2,000 direct and 7,000 indirect jobs in Caracol,” Porto said.

In addition to being in this panel, they have been meeting with writers and creatives seeking for alliances to develop stories. “We are very strong in novels, long stories but you we’re looking for other genres, short series, in order to present different projects and adapt to the needs of the market.”
