La Reina del Sur and Operación Repo spike mun2 February numbers

The bicultural cable network mun2 is continuing its trend in records numbers by delivering its best February, a 10 percent increase year-to-year in total viewers, according to Nielsen. The increase in numbers can be attributed to the success of the network’s reality series Operación Repo, and the English-language subtitled novela, La Reina del Sur. February’s figures set mun2 as the fastest growing Hispanic cable network of the month among Hispanic viewers and Hispanics 18 to 49, a 31 percent increase month-to-month. La Reina del Sur enjoyed 128,000 total viewers in its initial week and 83,000 adults 18 to 49 in the Monday to Thursday 10pm time slot. Operación Repo delivered 40,000 adults 18 to 49 and averaged 65,000 total viewers.
