Marisol Amaya promoted to senior director of Programming Acquisitions for Tr3s

Marisol Amaya, currently director of Programming Acquisitions for MTV, VH1 and Comedy Central Latin America has been promoted to senior director of Programming Acquisitions, expanding her role to include Tr3s in the US Hispanic market, according to a press release by Viacom International Media Networks.In her new position, Amaya will be responsible for acquiring high-quality and innovative content to ensure mission and strategic relevance across all brands. She will also provide insight to inform programming decisions and overall strategy.Based out of Miami, Amaya will report directly to Fernando Gaston, brand manager for Tr3s and MTV Latin America, and Federico Cuervo, brand manager of Comedy Central and VH1 Latin America.“We are very excited that Marisol will bring her programming expertise to our US Hispanic brand. Marisol has demonstrated strong success across our brands in Latin America and we are confident she will bring the same passion, commitment and clarity of vision to Tr3s” said, Gaston. “We look forward to strengthening and growing the Tr3s brand through an ambitious strategy that connects viewers to hit content”.
