Roberto Pérez, VP of Distribution at Motorsport.tv, made announcements about his platform from Cannes, on the last day of MIPCOM 2017.

Motorsport.tv is a channel dedicated to automotive racing and entertainment regarding the sport in general. “It is a platform dedicated to the events in the automobile sport, and to remain in touch with the audience that follows these sports, not only on weekends, that is when there are races, but also throughout the week,” said Pérez.

Motorsport.tv is a channel that has been working for more than 15 years in France and Europe, and recently migrated to Miami, in the aim to conquer new audiences. “We are seeking to satisfy and broaden the needs of the US and Latin American market; we want to give more value to the audience of the region, so we have started operations from Miami” he informed.

Regarding programming, most come from Europe, since in Latin America there are not too many car races. However, Pérez mentioned how important it is to have a local production to give audiences a regional touch.

“Regarding distribution, we still haven´t closed any deals in Latin America. It is a truly challenging environment. We are investing resources and making collaborations with other companies to achieve this. In the US, we already have distribution with Sling TV, and are in conversations with big digital platforms that can maximize our exhibition,” ended Pérez.
