MundoFox announces El Factor X celebrity judges

MundoFox announced that award-winning Latin recording artists Belinda and Chino & Nacho, and Mexican television and music icon Angélica María have been confirmed as the celebrity judges of El Factor X, slated to premiere for the first time in the U.S. this summer. Following the massive success of The X Factor in the U.S. and around the world, this original Spanish-language version launching on MundoFox will feature young contestants from 8 to 15 years old and will give U.S. Latino viewers the opportunity to choose the next young Latino superstar or breakout music group. “We are thrilled to have four such well-respected and talented artists on the judging panel of El Factor X. We are confident that our judges will embrace and guide our contestants providing them invaluable advice in a warm, positive and thrilling environment,” said Adriana Ibáñez, EVP of Programming for MundoFox. “We are excited and proud to have such an outstanding and talented group of artists be part of The X Factor family. Their exceptional careers are proof they possess the unique qualities that are required to succeed, and we are lucky to have them be part of finding the next Latin music star in El Factor X on MundoFox,” said Jack Alfandary, SVP, Latin America and US Hispanic for FremantleMedia.The judges will travel to top cities in the U.S. searching for undiscovered talent from 8 to 15 years old, both solo artists and vocal groups. Open auditions for the series will also take place across the country, attracting young aspiring hopefuls looking to make their dream of becoming the next big singing sensation come true. The auditions have been set and will start on June 8 in Los Angeles before visiting New York City (June 22) and Miami (June 29).
