Netflix officially opened its new offices in Buenos Aires this Tuesday, April 7. They are located in Villa Crespo, a traditional neighborhood in the city of Buenos Aires, in a brand-new building with a larger space than its previous offices in Palermo.

With both open and closed spaces, the brand’s presence is felt in every corner—whether through the letter “N” displayed throughout or through offices named after well-known series on the platform and wall art featuring characters from local productions.

“The new office reflects Argentine identity and talent. Its design is inspired by the cultural richness of its surroundings, capturing and integrating its essence into every detail. The selection of furniture and design objects, entirely created by artists from across the country, reinforces national authorship and production, consolidating a space that expresses contemporary creativity combined with references to titles from the service,” Netflix stated.

As part of the inauguration, Francisco Ramos, VP of Content for Latin America, along with Juliana Moreno, Keka Halvorsen, Nicolás Goldar Parodi, and Bernardo Loyola from the local production team, announced upcoming “Made in Argentina” productions—the slogan used in the country—set to premiere in 2026 and 2027, including a wide variety of series, films, and documentaries.

During his presentation, Ramos made it clear that Netflix’s commitment to Argentina is strengthening and aims to establish deep roots in the national industry. He highlighted the value of the country’s audiovisual talent and everything it is capable of achieving.

The new office reflects Argentine identity and talent

He added that the new offices will house a large group of executives covering all strategic functions and teams within the company, including public relations and communications, marketing and promotion, production and content, and legal.

The goal of consolidating this permanent structure in the territory is to strengthen and streamline relationships with creators and the local industry. The ultimate ambition, under the “Made in Argentina” label, is to boost cultural exports “to bring our members around the world series and films made in Argentina.”

NEW FROM NETFLIX: A BET ON ARGENTINE CINEMA

Among the new developments, filming began in March on a new film by Santiago Mitre (title yet to be confirmed), set for release in 2027, written alongside Mariano Llinás. It is a political thriller starring Verónica Llinás and Peter Lanzani.

In mid-2026, Lo Dejamos Acá will premiere, starring Ricardo Darín as a pragmatic psychoanalyst with a very particular method, alongside Diego Peretti. It is directed by Hernán Goldfrid.

Adrián Suar and Griselda Siciliani star in Felicidades

Also joining the slate is the audiovisual adaptation of the acclaimed stage play Felicidades, starring Adrián Suar and Griselda Siciliani, directed by Spanish filmmaker Álex de la Iglesia. Additionally, following its theatrical run, Risa Y La Cabina Del Viento, a film by Juan Cabral shot in Tierra del Fuego, will be available.

SERIES FOR ALL AUDIENCES

Among upcoming series, Moria was announced, inspired by the life of Moria Casán, starring Griselda Siciliani, Cecilia Roth, and Sofía Gala Castiglione, who portray Moria at different stages of her life.

Also arriving in the second half of the year are the miniseries Mis Muertos Tristes, directed by Pablo Larraín and based on stories by Mariana Enriquez, starring Mercedes Morán, among others; and Gordon, a thriller based on true events and the novel of the same name by Marcelo Larraquy, starring Rodrigo de la Serna and directed by Pablo Trapero and Pablo Fendrick.

Additionally, Netflix’s first short-format series produced in Argentina will debut soon: Carísima, a 10-episode story (10 minutes each) about Caro Pardíaco—the first of its kind in Latin America.

Seasons three and four of En el Barro were also announced.

WHAT’S COMING IN 2027

For 2027, highlights include Tiempo al Tiempo, the new creation by Sebastián Ortega, starring Carla Peterson, Jerónimo Bosia, Valentina Zenere, and Luciano Castro; the miniseries by Sebastián Borensztein, based on his novel El Ruso, starring Chino Darín, which just wrapped filming in Europe; and, for fans of dark comedy, Crimen Desorganizado, set to begin production in the coming weeks, starring Celeste Cid, Marco Antonio Caponi, Matías Mayer, Benjamín Amadeo, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, Soledad Silveyra, and Martín Bossi, directed by Nicanor Loreti.

Production also continues on the animated Mafalda series directed by Juan José Campanella, as well as filming of El Futuro es Nuestro, a dystopian miniseries based on The World Jones Made by Philip K. Dick. The latter is a major production and one of the platform’s big bets for next year.

DOCUMENTARY PREMIERES

Documentaries will also premiere, which, as Ramos noted, are highly valued by Argentine audiences, including Yiya Murano: Muerte A La Hora Del Té, premiering April 23.

Dibu is the subject of a new documentary

Three additional projects on Argentine personalities were confirmed: Dibu Martínez: El Pibe que Ataja el Tiempo, written by Hernán Casciari and illustrated by Liniers—a film directed by Gustavo Cova combining exclusive testimonies with animation to tell the story of the boy who dreamed of being a goalkeeper and became one of Argentina’s greatest national team heroes; Fito Páez: El Mundo Cabe en una Canción, a documentary directed by Matías Gueilburt; and Perfecta: La Voz de Silvina Luna, an intimate portrait exploring the final years of the model and actress through previously unseen footage she recorded herself.
