New director of Content at Mediapro Mexico

Juliana Barrera, Content Director for Colombia at Mediapro, also assumed the Mexican territory under her responsibility. She will work together with Jacky Castro, who is leading the production direction. At MIP Cancún she reported that her goals include the development of local stories with Mexican talent.

“The truth is that Colombia and Mexico are very similar markets, there is an organic connection between the stories and the talents that move there, so they decided to put me in charge of both territories, connecting with Daniel Burman, who, from the US has been taking care of the products from Mexico. He is going to continue being responsible for all the products he already had, the projects he has been working on, and I will be in charge of bringing new projects to the table,” she said.

Barrera explained that in 2020 they will begin the production of Las Bravas for Turner, a project they are very excited about. In Colombia, they finished the production of the second season of Noobees for Nickelodeon and in January they will start the pre-production of two more series, along with the development of two other projects for streaming.
