The independent Mexican producer Érik Zuckermann said on #VisitaPRODU that open TV in Mexico, the US and in many parts of the world is having a resurgence due to the fact that with so many windows, brands don´t know where to aim, and they take the sure path, that is open TV, which continues to have great audiences.

“Open TV has many possibilities in the sense that the market is fragmenting so much that it is one of the few strongholds left to bring great amounts of audiences. The same as the market, open TV has to continue transforming and each channel has to adopt his own strategy, like TV Azteca did, for example, with its live television strategy” said Zuckermann.

The executive mentioned that Mexico is currently undergoing a great moment for independent productions, because there has always been a great deal of production, but only in Televisa and Azteca. Now, those two big ones are producing as third parties, and now, there are also platforms, which need independent producers to meet the demand for content.

“These large amounts of production are going to help us improve and develop human resources. Every day we are going to have more, better, and more prepared producers, writers, directors, and professionals in the industry, which will have a positive effect, resulting in better products, both on TV and in cinema,” he detailed.

He mentioned that the film Guadalupe Reyes, recently launched in movie theaters nationwide, is having great audience receptivity and reported they will soon be available on PantaYA for the US Hispanic market, and on Amazon for Latin America.
