PantaYA and Sprint announced they are joining forces to reach millions of new fans across their mobile devices.

Sprint is the first carrier to collaborate with PantaYA and is offering an exclusive 45-day trial to customers who visit sprint.com/pantaya.

PantaYA features the largest and most varied selection of Spanish-language movies on a single platform. The service encompasses blockbusters and critically acclaimed films from Latin America and Hollywood; exclusive and first-run access to all Spanish-language releases from Pantelion Films, a joint venture between Lionsgate and Televisa; and a selection of films that will be available for streaming the same day they premiere in Latin America, a U.S. first.

PantaYA and celebrity ambassadors Maite Perroni and Omar Chaparro will co-host a launch event tonight in Hollywood featuring international superstar Prince Royce as a musical guest and a charity auction.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the 1Million Project, an initiative that aims to bridge the digital divide and help close the homework gap for 1 million low-income high school students who lack internet access at home to complete assignments, communicate with their schools, and apply for scholarships.

Together, Sprint and PANTAYA are raising money for the 1Million Project via an online auction that kicked off yesterday and will be live through Oct. 24 at charitybuzz.com/1millionproject.

“There’s a great market opportunity in the Spanish-language streaming space, and we’ve launched PantaYA to deliver premium content curated exclusively for this audience. We’ve found a great provider in Sprint, who is invested in the Latino community and shares our commitment to providing customers a one-of-a-kind streaming experience they can call their own,” said Paul Presburger, PantaYA´s Chief Executive Officer.
