Considered the most watched and profitable channel of the TVC Networks group, Cine Mexicano announced it would launch on April 8th a new look that blends the modern with the traditional. PCTV executives expressed their interest in creating a spin off channel to Cine Mexicano.“We have given this channel a new face and a new rhythm. All the changes were done in-house, and the themed design makes it easy to follow the programming. We’re considering adding a second channel staggered by two or three hours to cater to the country’s different time zones. We are analyzing whether it would mirror Cine Mexicano, or whether we want to give it a differentiator so it can compete as a second channel,” said Julio Di-Bella, general director of PCTV Mexico.Fidela Navarro, director of TVC Networks said this change ends with the refreshing of all the channels, which “now have built a name of their own. It was a challenge to mix the modern with the traditional, and viewers will see that blend with the Mexican colors, which will help us attract younger audiences. The result is elegant and sophisticated channel.”Under the Nuestro Cine slogan, Cine Mexicano has a portfolio of 600 movies. The channel airs 12 films a day and differentiates itself from the competition by creating daily themes so that viewers can enjoy different genres each day.
