ESPN Deportes has already produced several color pieces around the 2014 Brazil World Cup. Were ready to bring great coverage of the Cup. We brought over 30 commentators to Brazil. We have eight mobile units circulating around the host cities. There will be interesting surprises from a series of reports weve produced for the different shows, told PRODU, Rodolfo Martínez, VP of Production and Operations of ESPN Deportes and ESPN Internacional.Some of the surprises include the return of the series Así Pasó, which will air on SportsCenter, and two new vignette series entitled Sonidos de Brasil and Estadios de Brasil. There will also be a series of 10 three-minute stories called Cuentos de Fútbol, produced with actors, which will air throughout the programming.Weve hired comedian analyst and pianist Andreas Zanetti, who will perform every night on Fútbol Picante with a sketch related to the days news. This is the first time we do something like this, said Martínez.He says much of this content will also be featured in a show hosted by Kary Correa that will air over the 15 days of the tournament, entitled El color de Brasil. Over the eight weekends and on seven key days of the World Cup, he added.Martínez announced the launch of a new weekend show of Nación ESPN. The channel also expanded the schedule of SportsCenter for the weekend: it is now four hours on Saturday and four on Sunday.
