Sony Music Latin-Iberia announced the promotion of Sergi Reitg to Vice President of Premium Content. In his newly expanded role, Reitg will oversee strategic audiovisual initiatives in Spain and Mexico and work on key film and TV development projects alongside the Latin-Iberia regional office in Miami and the Sony Music Vision team in Los Angeles. Based in Spain, Reitg will report to Fernando Cabral, EVP, of Strategic Partnerships for Sony Music Latin-Iberia.

Reitg has led the company’s recent successes across the premium content space in Spain for the last six years.

In his new position, Retig will broaden his remit to develop new projects across Mexico and the wider Latin-Iberia region, as well. At the same time, he continues to support the global expansion of Sony Music Vision. He most recently oversaw the production of the documentary Sintiéndolo Mucho by Joaquín Sabina (2022), and three seasons of the Acoustic Home series on MAX.

“Sergi’s vast experience and innovative approach to the film and television space make him the perfect creative for this role. We are confident that his leadership will enhance our capabilities and drive our success in the premium content space across more global markets, as well as create new ways to serve our artists,” said Cabral.

Reitg added “I am excited to take on this expanded role and build on the successes we’ve achieved in Spain. I look forward to leveraging learnings to replicate programs and build opportunities in Mexico, across the Latin-Iberia region with our partners.”

Reitg brings over 30 years of comprehensive expertise in leading multicultural teams across production, finance, international distribution, and project development.

He has helped pioneer industry-standard business models for international film and TV projects and continues identifying new growth opportunities across global markets.
