Simon Bross en Webinar

Simón Bross; Film, theater and TV director and producer, founder of García Bross; was the first guest of the Face to Face Webinar: De Camino al Innovation Summit 2021 FIAP+PRODU. During the broadcast, he explained that “nothing is going to be normal again, but we can make contents and getting used to corresponding protocols. For now, there are no kisses nor contact scenes” he said.

“Health and life are more important than production. In this new normality, we have to get used to protocols that will surely add costs, but protecting people’s health is not an accessory. I also think that when this passes, we will have to produce with less, but there is going to be produced for everyone. We must pursue good ideas and concepts even though we don’t have as much profit as before” he added.

Safety protocols that are being developed for when shootings are reactivated in Mexico are: entirely disinfecting the place, having a sanitizing arch to enter and leave, use N95 masks, which they will provide to everyone, as well as face masks, checking people’s temperature, sanitize shoes, wash your hands each time there is interaction with objects and use gel constantly. The entrance to the set has to be gradual, everyone maintaining a distance. Crews must also be offered safe transportation, the number of vehicles necessary for people to be at the correct distance.

The production company is helping crew members with several initiatives. One is with scenery builders, they have helped them find transportation and moving jobs. Also, with the help of doctors, they have started making face masks, part is donated to several medical institutions and another part is sold. The money made is for the team. “We are seeing what we can do from where we are”.
