Spanglish Movies: Verizon is the real winner in the Netflix and Max bundle

The founder and CEO of Spanglish Movies, Gustavo Aparicio, shared with PRODU his point of view about the announcement of the bundling between Netflix and Max, which will be available to all subscribers of Verizon’s myPlan telephone and Internet service. Verizon users enrolled in that plan will enjoy Netflix and Max (HBO) content at a low cost.
“While Netflix and Max will benefit from this bundle, their success is limited to this discount rate, while the real winner in this arrangement is Verizon, which will attract subscribers to its premium plans,” Aparicio said.
He also mentioned that this strategy is usually recurring for companies like Verizon to attract customers to their low-turnover plans through high-cost television at a lower price than the original price.
