Telemundo’s first-ever period Super Series Malverde: El Santo Patrón is officially slated to premiere this September. The network confirmed the news in a new teaser that shows flashes of the series’ riveting action, offering hints of Malverde’s contrasting duality as both saint and bandit.
Starring Pedro Fernández (Hasta que el Dinero nos Separe, El Ganador), the period Super Series centers around Jesús Malverde, one of the biggest and most controversial Mexican characters of the last 150 years, who ultimately became a legendary figure and religious icon. An original story by Luis Zelkowicz (El Señor de los Cielos), Malverde: El Santo Patrón is an original Telemundo Global Studios production.
