Televisa complies with declaration of emergency

Sources linked to Grupo Televisa made known the measures the company will implement after the declaration of sanitary emergency due to coronavirus in Mexico. They will have a minimal amount of personnel possible in the different areas to ensure the basic operations of their signals and will suspend shootings of telenovelas, series, and realities. On the other hand, they report that they will continue with informative programs: newscasts and magazine broadcasts. In these, they clarified, strict measures to keep healthy distance: reduction of production teams, changes of reporters per shift, and remote participation of collaborators. With the rest of the programs, they hope to restart the shootings at the end of April, if conditions allow so.

The company maintains communication with their personnel and supervision of forums and offices, to ensure they comply with the established measures. They also implemented special prevention measures with vulnerable groups, such as people older than 65 years old, pregnant women, and those with chronic degenerative diseases. They have also implemented online courses to enable work from home.

In the areas of makeup, hairdressing, and costume, they have made changes in the operation, with the mandatory use of protective masks, antibacterial products and sanitization of all the areas and equipment.
