Televisa holds talks with Univisión to launch ForoTV’s programming in the U.S.

“There is a place for ForoTV in the U.S., perhaps not for the entire 24-hour news channel, but for some of its programming. We are planning to do something with Univisión which is not yet perfectly defined,” said to PRODU Leopoldo Gómez, VP of News of Televisa.ForoTV, which launched in 2010, has grown within the Mexican audience due to its different approach to information and opinion.“We have enviable demographics for Mexican TV. We have a substantial percentage of high-income and young people that are commercially very attractive. The channel’s outlook is good and it’s selling well, enough to make it sustainable in the long term,” said Gómez.
