Televisa: Mayrín Villanueva had to abandon the main role in En Tierras Salvajes

The Televisa producer Salvador Mejía informed that the actress Mayrín Villanueva had to leave her main role in the production En Tierras Salvajes due to corporate decisions.
The decision was made because the teleseries will launch on the Univision screens in the US, in August, after the end of La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo, and the participation of the actress would coincide with another project she starred in. Mejía explained in an interview for the Mexican program Fórmula Espectacular that in these cases, their policy is to not duplicate. “I spoke with Mayrín, explained the situation to her. She is not the first nor last one to be in this case. What rules is programming, we are broadcasting networks”.
Mejía stated that the team was very happy with Mayrín. “We had a great work environment, were very eager to work together. Working with her is a great experience”. He also informed that Claudia Álvarez, will replace her, joining the shootings on Monday March 1st.
