Rosy Ocampo: With Qué Pobres Tan Ricos we want to teach people to value life

Rosy Ocampo, producer of Televisa, spoke with PRODU about the premiere of its new telenovela Qué Pobres Tan Ricos. It will kick off next November 11th at 8:25pm, and the comedy will again feature Jaime Camil along with Zuria Vega.Ocampo said the production will be part of the 8pm block, “with the intention of bringing the family together in a common space to enjoy a product that appeals to each member. To this end, we created a story about a rich family that loses it all, and has to move in with a humble family. This sets off many funny situations, through which we want to teach people to value life.”Finally, she said the series will have 120 or 130 one-hour episodes shot on location in Mexico City, and seeks to continue the tradition of multiplatform projects with product integration.“We’re experimenting with something interesting: we’ll have advertisers in the U.S. and Mexico, and will be shooting scenes twice. For the U.S. we already have Subway and for the domestic market we’re negotiating with a brand that won’t be consumed on-camera, it will simply help us give nutrition and health tips,” she said.Ocampo recently concluded the broadcast of the series Mentir Para Vivir, which is already in the primetime of Univision.
