The event will air live from the NFL Flag Fieldhouse at Super Bowl Experience in San Francisco on Tuesday, February 3.
The NFL’s celebration of elite talent will once again shine a spotlight on Latino excellence. Three players of Latino heritage — Nik Bonitto (Denver Broncos), Jake Ferguson (Dallas Cowboys), and Christian Gonzalez (New England Patriots) — have been selected to participate in the 2026 Pro Bowl Games powered by Verizon, the league’s annual showcase of its top players.
The Pro Bowl Games bring together the NFL’s biggest stars for a multi-day AFC vs. NFC competition featuring skills challenges and a highly anticipated flag football matchup. For the first time, the event will take place during Super Bowl LX Week in the San Francisco Bay Area, elevating its visibility during the league’s most-watched week of the year.
Nik Bonitto | Linebacker | Denver Broncos | Cuban Heritage
Nik Bonitto has established himself as one of the NFL’s most dominant edge rushers. Entering the 2025 playoffs, Bonitto recorded 14 sacks, building on a breakout 2024 season that included 13.5 sacks, a Pro Bowl selection, and second-team All-Pro honors. His consistent ability to pressure quarterbacks has been instrumental in transforming Denver’s defense into one of the league’s toughest units, helping the Broncos secure the AFC’s top seed. This marks Bonitto’s second consecutive Pro Bowl selection.
Jake Ferguson | Tight End | Dallas Cowboys | Spanish Heritage
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson earns his second Pro Bowl selection after a career-best 2025 season. A fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and grandson of legendary Wisconsin head coach Barry Alvarez, Ferguson finished the year with 82 receptions and eight touchdowns, both career highs. Named as a replacement for injured 49ers tight end George Kittle, Ferguson joins an elite group of Cowboys tight ends with multiple Pro Bowl appearances, including Jason Witten, Jay Novacek, and Billy Joe DuPree. He will be joined in the Pro Bowl Games by five of his Dallas teammates.
Christian Gonzalez | Defensive Back | New England Patriots | Colombian Heritage
Christian Gonzalez continues to emerge as one of the NFL’s premier shutdown corners. In his third NFL season, Gonzalez earned his first Pro Bowl selection after finishing the 2025 regular season with 10 pass breakups and 69 tackles. A second-team All-Pro in 2024, his physical coverage and playmaking instincts were key to New England’s defensive success and their run to the AFC East title. Gonzalez will look to neutralize opposing top receivers as the Patriots push deeper into the postseason.
A New Stage for the Pro Bowl Games
The 2026 Pro Bowl Games powered by Verizon will be held during Super Bowl LX Week, bringing the league’s top players together for an AFC vs. NFC flag football showdown that previews the sport’s future ahead of its LA28 Olympic debut. The revamped format allows players to compete during the NFL’s biggest week while surrounded by family, friends, and fans.
The event will air live from the NFL Flag Fieldhouse at Super Bowl Experience in San Francisco on Tuesday, February 3. Coverage begins on ESPN at 6:30 p.m. ET, with the flag football game kicking off at 8:00 p.m. ET. The broadcast will also air on Disney XD and ESPN Deportes, further expanding its reach among Hispanic audiences.
Adding to the excitement, San Francisco 49ers legends and Pro Football Hall of Famers Steve Young and Jerry Ricewill serve as head coaches, with Young leading the AFC roster and Rice coaching the NFC team.
As the NFL continues to elevate flag football and embrace a more global, inclusive future, the presence of Latino athletes at the 2026 Pro Bowl Games highlights the growing impact of Hispanic talent within the league — on and off the field.
