TOKU premieres Strawberry Panic anime TV series this summer

TOKU announces the premiere of the {Strawberry Panic;www.produ.com/television/videos/index.html?noti=11120} (26×60′) anime series this summer. The first 12 episodes of this best-selling 26-episode anime series based on the Japanese fictional illustrated short stories will be available On Demand for the first time on Cablevision, Massillon, and Armstrong cable operators during the months of June and July. The episodes will also air on TOKU’s linear HD on a weekly basis and available on VOD. Air linear times will range between 6-8am, and 1-4pm.Strawberry Panic is an anime series produced in Japan in 2006, following Strawberry Panic’s first run in Dengeki G’s Magazine, as fans were growing in numbers due to the original series’ terrific success. The plot revolves around a group of teenagers who attend one of three affiliated all-girl Catholic schools, which share a campus and dormitories. A common thread that weaves together these tales is the portrayal of intimate love and emotional connections between women.TOKU is the abbreviated version of the word Tokusatsu, which is the Japanese-language term for “live action,” in which TOKU brings plenty of it to the legions of growing fans in the United States. Aside from live action, the networks features the most sought after Asian anime titles and cult classics.TOKU is available on AT&T U-Verse (channel 1484) as well as On Demand through Xfinity and Optimum.
