Univision delivers unprecedented coverage in the lead and following the July 1st Mexican presidential election

Univision delivers comprehensive coverage of Mexico’s presidential election, building from extensive coverage in the past months, with live and special programming, México Decide 2012 (Mexico Decides 2012), in the lead and following the July 1 election. Univision’s award-winning journalists Jorge Ramos and María Elena Salinas will broadcast all network news programming live from Mexico City. Noticiero Univisión (weekdays and weekend editions at 6:30pm), Nightly News Edition (weekdays and weekend editions at 11:30pm), a special edition of Al Punto airing live at 1pm and a special primetime program México Decide 2012 will broadcast from the heart of Mexico City, the Zocalo. KMEX Univision 34 in Los Angeles and KUVN Univision 23 in Dallas will also provide coverage by their news teams on all editions of their local news programs, as well as lead the coverage for Univision’s local stations. Univision’s ongoing coverage will also feature profiles of the candidates, and will report on the impact of the youth vote, social media and the Yosoy132 movement on the election.Galavisión and TeleFutura will join Noticias Univision in the coverage of the election in Mexico. TeleFutura will air one-minute electoral bulletins every hour on July 1, starting at 3pm. Galavisión will have complete news coverage the entire day beginning at 8am through midnight coast to coast with live newscasts directly from Televisa’s news team in Mexico, as well as coverage from Univision News. Online, {UnivisionNoticias.com} will deliver minute-by-minute updates on the election as well as extensive coverage on the candidates and issues facing Mexico and the United States. Ongoing coverage, special interactive graphics and audiovisual narrations will be featured at UnivisionNoticias.com, including on the Noticias Univision app. Univision’s English-language coverage is available on {UnivisionNews.Tumblr.com}, featuring experts and Univision News journalists.
