Univision premieres W Studio’s La Piloto on Tuesday March 7 at 10pm

The first production from W Studios starring Livia Brito and Arap Bethke, La Piloto (80×60’) will premiere Tuesday, March 7 at 10pm ET/PT (9pm CT) on Univision.

Inspired by real-life events, La Piloto tells the story of Yolanda Cadena (Livia Brito), a girl who dreams of becoming a pilot. Destiny grants her wish at a very young age, but she winds up flying small planes used to move drugs across Mexico, Colombia and Central America. John Lucio (Arap Bethke), her boyfriend and former flight instructor, betrays her to avoid going to prison. This fuels Yolanda´s thirst for revenge and, ultimately, motivates her to seek control of the drug trafficking business.

Produced by Lemon Films for W Studios and Univision, La Piloto stellar cast also includes Juan Eduardo Colucho as Dave, Alejandro Nones as Óscar Lucio, María de la Fuente as Mónica Ortega, and María Fernanda Yepes as Zulima “La Bruja.”

Inspired by a true story, La Piloto was created by Jorg Hiller, the writer of Tiro de Gracia and Porque el Amor Manda.

From internationally-acclaimed producer Patricio Wills, La Piloto is the first production from W Studios, a joint venture with Univision to produce edgy, action packed content developed specifically for the U.S. Hispanic audience.
