ViX: Las Pelotaris continues building bridges between Latin America and Spain

ViX presented its new original series, Las Pelotaris 1926, a production by The Mediapro Studio that premiered on Friday the 10th. Vincenzo Gratteri, Senior VP of Development for the platform, assured that it is one of the key products in their alliance with Spain.

“It is the first show of our strategic alliance with The Mediapro Studio. From the beginning, we realized that it is a story that had to be told with a very strong female drive, but with elements that can captivate the audience. It is a series full of emotions, action, and drama, and in it, we saw another opportunity to build a bridge between Latin America and Spain, the two main audiences we are targeting,” said Gratteri prior to the presentation.

He added that Las Pelotaris is aimed at an audience used to a very high aesthetic, “it is a highly premium production with very strong emotions and in which we aim for aesthetics, the story, and success in the audience.”

Cast and guests such as Miguel Rodarte, Marimar Vega, and Marco de la O, as well as the protagonists of this story, paraded on the red carpet. After they attended the screening of the first episode.

The series tells the story of a group of pioneering women in sports who broke barriers in a world ruled by men. The drama was created by Marc Cistaré and stars Zuria Vega, Claudia Salas, and María de Nati.

It was shot in Mexico and Spain, its executive producers are Laura Fdz. Espeso, Javier Pons and Marc Cistaré, The Mediapro Studio. It is written by a team of screenwriters that includes Adriana Rivas, Javier Naya, and Anaí López. Jesús Rodrigo was the director of eight episodes, and he was surrounded by Chechu Graf as Director of Photography and Fernando González as Art Director and was responsible for recreating the period settings in the series.
