WAPA América is offering viewers the most complete news coverage of the upcoming Puerto Rican primaries.
Featuring the Island network’s award-winning news team, WAPA América will serve as the exclusive broadcaster in the United States mainland, bringing extensive analysis of the candidates’ platforms, the electoral process, and live results to viewers and absentee voters alike. Coverage will be featured in all available Noticentro newscasts, including the newly launched Noticentro al Amanecer: Edición Extra, live broadcast of the gubernatorial debate for the PPD, analysis show Decisión 2020, as well as special programming throughout the election.
Starting July 15, an additional newscast was added to the WAPA América lineup with the launch of Noticentro al Amanecer: Edición Extra airing weekdays at 9:30am ET /6:30am PT.
WAPA América will also broadcast a debate featuring the candidates vying for the gubernatorial nomination representing the Partido Popular Democrático or PPD (Popular Democratic Party) on Thursday, July 30, at 10pm ET /7pm PT.
Sunday news property Decisión 2020 will feature appearances by candidates for the gubernatorial nomination for the Partido Nuevo Progresista or PNP (New Progressive Party) for three consecutive Sundays starting on July 19 at 10pm ET/7pm PT.
