Born and raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Luis Enrique Rodriguez studied Social Communications at the University of Puerto Rico, where he launched his career producing two short films, continued working as a producer and production coordinator, to later become an editor and creative director for some of the biggest production companies on the island. For Luis Enrique, what is most important when directing a production is having a good team. “The first thing I do as a director after visualizing the idea is to assemble a team that I know will be able to take everything I have in mind and put it on the screen. A director can have the most creative mind in the world but if he doesnt have a work team that collaborates with him to recreate his vision, he cant do it”.Since 2003, Luis Enrique has been working exclusively as a director, now among the most sought after in Puerto Rico. He has also left his stamp on the U.S. market, directing numerous high-profile ad campaigns and working with top agencies and brands like Regate, Chrysler, Jeep, Suzuki, 7Up, Kia Motors, Dennys, Radio Shack, Leo Burnett, JWT and more.He is known for his sharp, humorous storytelling, as well as his effectiveness on the set.
