Olympusat presents the Spanish-language digital platforms in the U.S. panel at the Málaga Spanish Film Festival

To celebrate the 19th anniversary of the {Málaga Spanish Film Festival;www.festivaldemalaga.com}, Olympusat, Inc. will present the {Spanish-language digital platforms in the U.S.;www.produ.com/television/videos/index.html?Noti=10853} panel on Monday, April 25th.“The Málaga Spanish Film Festival has invited us to organize a panel on how Olympusat’s television channels have served to further promote knowledge of the Spanish language in the U.S. They also have asked us to feature our OTT platform, Vemox, as a way to access content through all devices such as cell phones, tablets and computers,” said Jesús Piñango, director of TV Content Strategy. In his presentation, Piñango will highlight the importance of producing more shows in Spanish to respond to the growth in the U.S. Hispanic population, both in terms of size and purchasing power. People of Hispanic origin are the nation’s largest ethnic minority, and as technology shapes the way consumers access entertainment, it is crucial to pay close attention to how this group consumes media.Olympusat engages more than 8 million Hispanic viewers a day with its premium Spanish-language offerings and also produces high-quality Spanish-language content. Producers, filmmakers and distributors attending the Festival will hear about Olympusat’s strategies to position itself as a leader in the U.S. and Latin American entertainment industry.“Consumers are increasing their consumption of OTT services, driven by better affordability and a broader content offering”, asserted Piñango.The Málaga Spanish Film Festival, to be held April 22nd through May 1st, contributes greatly to the development of Spanish-language cinema and Latino productions through screenings of feature films, short films, documentaries and animations.
