VIP 2000 TV: I summon distributors and independent producers to join us

Rosalind Rotundo, VP of VIP 2000 TV, welcomed the attendees of MIP Cancún, together with Latin Media, with a cocktail party sponsored by the two companies. “The purpose of the cocktail party was to develop the topic of alliances,” explains Rotundo. Previously, both companies offered a joint, 20-minute presentation.

According to the executive, everyone must get together to make high-quality productions. As an example, she mentioned her recent bet: her new series 2050, co-produced with Mondo TV Iberoamérica and Casablanca. It is her first series in English.

“At VIP 2000 we are saying that as distributors we should unite to create a force in the light of the changes the industry is facing. I summon all distributors and producers to join us. If big companies merge and grow, why not us? We are part of the change in TV,” she expressed.

Rotundo believes the industry is not going through a crisis but a transformation, which it is a privilege to experience.”Platforms, technology, and new contents are, undoubtedly, something positive. Let´s be part of the change, together, with alliances and connections”.
