Rosy Ocampo together with the cast of La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo to be launched in February

With migration topics and a touch of suspense, the producer Rosy Ocampo started shooting her first short telenovela for Televisa, La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo (67×60’), starring Ariadne Díaz, Danilo Correa and África Zavala, to be launched in February 2017 at 9pm on Las Estrellas.

“We have been collaborating with a group of writers, directors, and producers making original, innovative projects and this is the first of several we are working on. This telenovela came up after a trip we did to Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, looking for interesting topics and we found the real story of a woman, which impressed us and we decided to bring it to TV under the title Estela Carrillo. And now, with the topic of the elections in the US, it becomes even more current,” explained the producer.

She highlighted that it is an original story that also revolves around regional Mexican music, “it has to do with being Mexicans in a country where it is very difficult to have that nationality.”

The producer explained that for the main character she looked for an actress who also knew how to sing, and so she chose Ariadne Díaz to embody Estela Carrillo. She is making her debut as a singer in this story.

“It is the most complicated character I’ve ever done, because it has a strong touch of realism, since I am a migrant in the US and because of the challenge of singing, but it will lead me to gain experience,” commented the actress.
