Globo held the exclusive pre-launch for miniseries Justiça for the Latin American television market during the 2016 MIP Cancún.

Boasting an original and provocative narrative, crossing over several independent stories, and aired in a way that broke the standards of traditional TV programming, Justiça won over the Brazilian audience. While it aired, it had a daily reach of approximately 41 million viewers, and a total reach of approximately 134 million viewers.

Its star-studded cast includes Adriana Esteves and Cauã Reymond (both from Brazil Avenue), as well as Leandra Leal and Marina Ruy Barbosa (both from Empire), among many others. The initiative marks the Brazilian company’s effort to deliver fresh and innovative content to its partners around the world throughout the year.

Justiça invites viewers to reflect upon human issues and moral values, opening with the arrest of four people of different origins and backgrounds in 2009, in Recife, northeastern Brazil. The story than fast forwards seven years, as the characters are released from prison after doing their time, and get ready to go back to their lives.

Written by Manuela Dias (Dangerous Liaisons) and with art direction by José Luiz Villamarim (Brazil Avenue), Justiça featured an unprecedented action: Its first four episodes were made available on Globo Play – Globo’s VOD application – before its premiere on network TV. The strategy designed to bring audiences closer was maintained while the miniseries aired, and Globo Play subscribers had early access to each daily episode. That allowed Justiça to reach more than 3 million unique users, and more than 25 million video viewers.
