Actress Stephanie Arcila: I have visited filming studios since I was three years old

Born in Miami, Stephanie Arcila wanted to be an actress since she was a child. When she was barely 3 years old, she visited the studios and stayed still for two hours watching the shootings, said her mother, the Peruvian Mary Aguilar.

Because she is perfectly fluent in both English and Spanish, she has managed to have greater opportunities in auditions.

Her father, Jairo Arcila, who has been a producer for over 40 years, commented that as years went by, she continued with the idea of being an actress. “I didn´t want to see her suffer, waiting for a role, like most actors”.

He explained the ups and downs of the business to her so she would be prepared. However, her mother was who pushed her to move to Los Angeles.

The actress explained that it is very hard and you must study a lot. “I have friends who have come here and haven´t had any big opportunities until nine years later. When you arrive, you have butterflies because you are doing what you love.”

She has acted in Anglo series like Blackish and Supergirl, and currently, has an important role in Telemundo´s Mariposa de Barrio.
