Last Tuesday night’s premiere of Telemundo’s latest bio-musical Jenni Rivera: Mariposa de Barrio (90×60′) ranked as the #1 Spanish-language program at 8pm, among Adults 18-49 and 18-34, according to Nielsen.

Based on the life of Regional Mexican superstar Jenni Rivera, the series averaged, 1,630,000 Total Viewers, 743,000 Adults 18-49 and 320,000 Adults 18-34. The premiere outperformed CBS and FOX at 8pm, among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. At 10pm, Super Series El Señor de los Cielos ranked as the #1 Spanish-language program in primetime delivering 1,863,000 Total Viewers, 1,069,000 Adults 18-49 and 499,000 Adults 18-34, outperforming Univision’s premiere of Rosario Tijeras among all three demos by +34% in Total Viewers (vs. 1,395,000), 97% in Adults 18-49 (vs. 542,000) and +132% in adults 18-34 (vs. 215,000). Overall, Telemundo ranked as the #1 Spanish-language network in 7pm-11pm primetime among Adults 18-49 (744,000) and Adults 18-34 (321,000).

Locally, the premiere of Jenni Rivera: Mariposa de Barrio ranked as the #1 Spanish-language program at 8pm, among adults 18-49 in Los Angeles, New York, Miami and Houston. On social, the premiere ranked as the #1 program in terms of U.S. social interactions among Hispanic networks. Content on Facebook reached 7,900,000 global users on premiere day and the premiere also generated 2.1M global video views on Facebook.
