Juan Osorio, the producer of El Amor no Tiene Receta, which concluded last Friday the 28th at 9:30pm on Las Estrellas.

The harmony within the production team and the inclusion of themes such as the searcher mothers and the LGBTQ+ community were key points that placed the telenovela El Amor no Tiene Receta at the top during its broadcast on Las Estrellas at 9:30 PM, reaffirmed by its final episode last Friday, as confirmed by producer Juan Osorio.

“Being in first place from the beginning gave us confidence, though it also made us nervous thinking it might not stay that way, but day by day it solidified and rose until it reached the heights of this finale. This telenovela, in particular, makes me proud because of the harmony achieved with the entire team,” said the producer.

Osorio added that this harmony during filming allowed the production to meet its intended needs: “We decided to create the backlot on a property to improve the flow of recordings; we included strong stories such as child trafficking, searcher mothers, and gender equality with a trans character. This allowed us to take an important step in telenovelas. While these steps had been taken before, this project has been the clearest example,” and he emphasized that, in addition to being an original story, “we had the obligation to make it work because owning the content is very gratifying.”

INCLUSION IN THE GROWTH OF THE TELENOVELA GENRE

Regarding the inclusion of trans actress Coco Máxima and the impact it had on society, the producer stated, “She became a colloquial character, which is gratifying. It serves as a platform for her to grow and transcend. She has that talent, but her field of action was limited, and now with this telenovela and the play Aventurera, she has flourished. It’s time to see inclusion as something normal, and this process will help us continue to grow and do different things.”

Another key point Osorio highlighted is the importance he places on technology as a complement to his stories: “We must be aware that high-quality content is being produced worldwide, and we cannot fall behind. The industry has evolved, and in telenovelas, we need to involve people who bring a different perspective, like photographers or directors who have a new vision, without betraying the genre, which is measured by melodrama and love, but that doesn’t conflict with quality and staying competitive with other producers to remain at the forefront.”

Finally, he expressed that creators must also be concerned about the new generations, stating, “The purpose of content is to push new figures who will be stars in the future. In five years, we need to have new protagonists because that’s how the industry evolves, and in this case, we had significant discoveries like Tiago, Luz Ramos, Nicola Porcella, or Hugo Catalán, combined with veteran actors.”
