Presentation of Juego de Voces, premiering Sunday the 22nd at 9pm on Las Estrellas
TelevisaUnivision is strengthening its original format Juego de Voces with a third season, set to premiere next Sunday the 22nd at 9pm on Las Estrellas in Mexico and on Univision in the U.S. During the official presentation, producer Lalo Suárez highlighted the strength of the content, which features innovations not only in the cast, but also in technology, staging, and new opportunities for brands.
During the event, attended by the participating teams and host Angélica Vale, Suárez emphasized that the essence of the show lies in the company’s intellectual property:
“It is an original TelevisaUnivision format, created by Marcelo Strupini. Now it’s our turn to produce this season, and we’re giving it a different energy so audiences can connect with the families,” he said.
For this installment, production has raised its technical standards. Suárez explained that the sets have expanded to deliver a more impactful visual experience:
“We have a stage that rotates 360 degrees. The other stage now includes a smaller one for intimate performances, with retractable illuminated stairs. We also have more screens and more lighting.”
The major new twist this season is the competition between siblings. The cast includes Isabel and Mayte Lascurain (Pandora), Jorge and Ernesto D’Alessio, Alex and Camila Fernández, José Luis and Raúl Roma (Río Roma), and Oswaldo ‘Walo’ and Esteban Silvas.
Suárez noted that the selection aims to cover a wide musical spectrum: “We managed to bring together a cast across multiple genres—regional Mexican, ranchera, romantic, ballads, and pop. What makes it interesting is that they won’t be singing within their own genre; they’ll be performing songs from completely different styles.”
The show also introduces an innovative business model through brand integration on set. Mercado Pago is the first major partner to join the show’s dynamic:
“We have an entire VIP box area. It’s an innovation in terms of sponsor sales. Each major sponsor has a space within the studio to bring contest winners or run promotions. They are VIP guests at our recordings,” Suárez explained.
