Gina and Valeria Macías, together with Mar Macías, make up the third generation of Grupo Macías, under the leadership of Arturo Macías, leading the company with a 50-year career path in the dubbing industry. Two years ago, they embarked on the challenge of establishing a corporate government with accelerated growth and with the aim to take the business to the next level.

“We want to be in more places. Now we have platforms. We are in the process of certifying with Netflix, we had the honor of receiving them a few days ago and are doing everything we can to fulfill their requirements and work directly with them. We are also working to have clients in Europe and the East,” stated Gina Gallegos-Macías, director of Human Resources and International Sales.

Their clients include Warner, CBS, HBO, FOX, and Viacom. In addition, Globo, for whom they devote special rooms due to the volume of requests. Grupo Macias is in Miami, Brazil, and Mexico. They have three recently renovated studios, as well as a Theatrical room, certified by Dolby. They perform dubbing to Spanish, Portuguese, and more recently incorporated English.

Continuous technologic updating and speed in delivery times are the most important challenges they face: “Platforms changed the rules of the game with simultaneous debuts. Many times, clients deliver preliminary material to us and that allows us to hand in work sooner,” explains Valeria Macías, COO. She added that they have accelerated and super accelerated services when their clients need them, always caring for the quality that distinguishes them and has enabled them to remain market leaders.

“We had to take things into our own hands, obviously with their support (their uncles Arturo –current CEO-, Patricia and María Elena), who is invaluable because of her experience. Our job is to improve the process so we can move ahead,” ended Valeria.
