Latin World Entertainment (LatinWE) is having a year of growth thanks to the company´s diversification and its digital agency, as Luis Balaguer, its president during #PRODUprimetime with Richard Izarra.

LatinWE, a company founded by Balaguer with his partner Sofia Vergara, additionally launched a US$50 million fund to provide micro-loans to entrepreneurs of small businesses.

“What has saved us as a company is that in the last 15 years, we have diversified with addictive contents and how we connect with products for the audience,” comments Balaguer.

Balaguer used this opportunity to thank Fernando Barbosa, General Manager of Disney Latin America´s Media Networks, and the company for their support throughout these last 15 years, starting when they launched Desperate Housewives in Argentina.

The executive expressed that he is proud to announce the alliance with the Digital Department of LatiWE -led by Lina Cáceres and Manuela Gómez- by making a “super agreement” with Facebook as their main agency for the launch of Lasso, the response to Tik Tok. He also mentioned other projects such as the launch of the makeup line Pautips, the CD of Sebas, and the book by Calle and Poché “Si es Contigo”.

Other projects Balaguer highlighted were a big one for Netflix, whose shooting starts in October, two films that enter production in 2021, and a couple of shows in development. He also mentioned Maradona, Sueño Bendito, under the responsibility of Mari Urdaneta, which they are very proud of.

Additionally, his wife Melissa Escobar, and Anabella Sosa from Upstairs, already agreed with the Worldwide Wild Foundation (WWF) as a partner to launch the animated film Koati that has been in development for almost a decade.
