Mario Cortijo plays Deyvis Orosco in Tu Nombre y el Mío
With an average overall rating of 20.5 points and peaks above 24 units, Tu Nombre y el Mío the new production by Del Barrio Producciones for América Televisión, premiered on Wednesday, the 7th, as the most-watched program in its timeslot (9:40pm) nationwide, according to Kantar Ibope Media figures.
On the night of the premiere, the cast gathered for a special event to watch the first episode. Michelle Alexander, producer and director of the telenovela, expressed: “This is a story that touches the heart of all of us. It reflects the struggles and sacrifices that many families have experienced. It is a project we have carried out with much affection and dedication, and seeing how it has been received fills us with pride and gratitude.”
Mario Cortijo, who plays Deyvis Orosco, the central character of the telenovela, spoke about the challenge of this role. “Deyvis is a character who carries a lot of pain and love. Portraying him is a rewarding experience, and I feel very fortunate to be able to tell this story that touches such sensitive areas of our society.”
Deyvis Orosco, the son of the legendary cumbia singer Jhonny Orosco, whose life inspires the plot, noted: “It is very special to see how the story of my father and my family comes to life on screen. I think it is a tribute to his legacy and to what he represented for so many people in Peru and other countries. I thank Michelle and the team for treating this story with such respect.”
For his part, Reynaldo Pacheco, the Bolivian actor who plays Jhonny Orosco, expressed his satisfaction at being part of such a significant project. “I have had the opportunity to work on major productions and with big Hollywood stars, but this role has a special meaning. Bringing Jhonny Orosco, an icon of music across Latin America, to life is an honor and a great challenge. I am grateful to be part of this story that resonates with so many people.”

The premiere of Tu Nombre y el Mío coincided with the finale of Los Otros Concha, which closed with an average rating of 16.9 points and announced its second season.
