Univision Deportes to launch Premios Univision Deportes on Wednesday December 18th

Univision Communications Inc. announced the launch of Premios Univision Deportes (Univision Sports Awards), the ultimate sports award show for U.S. Hispanics honoring top athletes and teams from the leagues and sports that Hispanics care about most. The two-hour presentation will celebrate sports figures for their accomplishments on and off the field across multiple sports, including soccer, basketball, baseball, football, boxing, auto racing and more. Premios Univision Deportes will take place in Miami and will debut on UniMás on Wednesday, December 18th, at 9pm ET/PT with a simulcast on UDN (Univision Deportes Network). “As the home of sports for Hispanic America, we are proud to acknowledge and celebrate the athletes and sports talent who make an impact in our communities. Creating a show such as Premios Univision Deportes is another great step in delivering the type of engaging content that our viewers are most passionate about,” said Juan Carlos Rodríguez, president of Univision Deportes, the sports division of Univision Communications Inc. Premios Univision Deportes will be awarded to 25 winners for their passion and excellence in sports and their connection to Hispanic American sports fans.
