Cannes Lions appoints Jae Goodman and Josh Rabinowitz Lions Entertainment Jury Presidents

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity designated Jae Goodman and Josh Rabinowitz as Presidents of the Lions Entertainment jury. Lions Entertainment is a new division in the 2016 edition of the Cannes Lions Festivals, replacing the Branded Content & Entertainment category to “focus on what is important” assured Philip Thomas, Cannes Lions Festival CEO.Jae Goodman, Chief Creative Officer and Co-Head, CAA Marketing and winner of the Grand Prix in Branded Content & Entertainment in 2012, was appointed President of the Lions Entertainment jury. “Ads are interruptive. This jury will be looking for work that is so engaging it draws an audience, rather than interrupts it.”Josh Rabinowitz, EVP, Director of Music, Grey, has been named as the Entertainment Lions for Music Jury President. “Music has always been one of the most important facets of culture, communication, technology and entertainment. Cannes Lions has become the premiere gathering point for all of those aspects” declared Rabinowitz. “From a branding perspective, music is the sensory input which stays with us the longest and even lingers on in the human mind for the entirety of one’s life – what better way to brand and communicate!”
