Grupo Gallegos office wins design prize

The design of the new California office of the Hispanic agency Grupo Gallegos was honored by Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year 2012 Awards with a prize for its creator, architect Lorcan O’Herlihy of LOHA.“We’re honored to have our office among the prizewinners of Interior Design’s Best of Year Awards. Our collaboration with Lorcan on the project resulted in a space where the agency’s ideals of teamwork and creativity are reflected in Lorcan’s incredible architectonic design,” the agency’s founder and CEO John Gallegos told PRODU.The prize was awarded in the Large Office category – 25,000 to 50,000 sq. ft. Grupo Gallegos’ work space has a view of the Huntington Beach Pier, a court for playing various sports, a game room for ping pong, a lounge, conference rooms, storerooms, and was conceived above all as a place “where creativity would be spurred by a democratic openness.”
