Kmart donated record figure as a member of the March of Dimes in support of the health of mothers and babies

Kmart announced that members of the program Shop your Way (SM) have donated a record figure of $ 11 million this year to the annual March for Babies of March of Dimes so that more babies get a healthy start in life.The unprecedented achievement of Kmart has set a new standard for the successful relationship between the two organizations. Tim Austin, senior VP of retail services of Kmart and national president of the March for Babies 2014, joined an enthusiastic crowd of 10,000 walkers in Chicago Lakefront March of Babies in April where he talked about how the effort this year was more personal than ever.”Kmart’s commitment to the March of Dimes is historic,” Austin said. “Helping babies clearly impacts our customers and partners, and personally, it brings me great joy. The mission of March of Dimes touched my own family because my grandson was born prematurely this year. Kmart’s ongoing efforts to support the March of Dimes, help to fund educational programs and research initiatives that can help more babies to receive the healthy start in life they deserve.”Kmart has been a member of the March of Dimes for more than three decades, and its annual fundraising campaigns have reached over U.S. $ 125 million, more than any other corporation.”Thanks to the support of Kmart, more women will get the prenatal care they need, and 92,000 families of babies in neonatal intensive care units across the country will receive comfort and guidance,” Dr. Jennifer L.
