Actualmente una casa promedio en EE UU recibe 189 canales de televisión
Americans do not lack of options in any aspect of their lives. The proliferation of content consumption devices is not apparently having an impact in the preferences when it comes to television.According to Nielsens report on advertising and audiences, an average household in the United States has 189 television channels; an important step and a significant record since 2008, when the average household had 129 channels. Despite this increase, the report concludes that consumers have constantly tuned in an average of only 17 channels. To conclude, Nielsen states that this data is important since it supports the idea that content does not necessarily mean a more consumption of channels. And that means that quality is vital both content creators and advertisers, so finding a better way to reach consumers in a world with many options is to become the best option.
